Swarthmore College Reads Dr. King’s Speech

about

The King and Breaking Silence project promotes learning and conversation around the continuing relevance of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s “Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence” speech, given at New York’s Riverside Church in 1967 – exactly one year before King was assassinated. In keeping with King’s core message, the National Council of Elders seeks a radical revolution of values in the United States. The KBS project is one vehicle for pursuing this aspiration.
